Joe Shumacher, CEO of Goddard Systems, Inc. shares five wisdom nuggets on Thrive Global.

Goddard Systems, Inc. (GSI), the franchisor of The Goddard School® preschool system, announces its latest school in Rocky Hill, CT is now open. Located at 1155 Elm Street Extension, the new school is operated by franchisees Harpreet Bath and Seema Sabarad.

Prior to joining The Goddard School, Harpreet was a stay-at-home mom and regularly volunteered at her daughter’s school while Seema worked as an interpreter and liaison for a company that serviced the U.S. judiciary system. Having become acquainted through mutual friends, the pair became business partners in 2013 and opened another franchise brand that hosts birthday parties for children between the ages of 2 and eleven years old. After a few years of success, the accomplished women started looking into other franchising opportunities when Seema remembered The Goddard School’s impressive program from when she was looking into preschool options for her child. Upon discovering the need for a quality preschool in the area, Seema and Harpreet decided to expand The Goddard School’s presence in Hartford and open a location in Rocky Hill, CT.

The Goddard School preschool system prides itself on its unique dual-management system, a distinguisher in the early childhood education industry. Franchise owners are onsite at each location and work alongside an educational director, whose focus is to communicate and work with teachers, as well as to implement The Goddard School curriculum. This system ensures a hands-on, community-focused approach when it comes to early childhood education. With each school opening, The Goddard School also has a local economic impact, creating an average of 20 to 25 jobs within the community.

At The Goddard School, the focus is on building each child’s emotional, academic, social, creative and physical skills to provide a well-rounded experience and ensure each one becomes confident, joyful and fully prepared in school and in life.

“What struck us about The Goddard School is that its program uses play as a conduit for developing a life-long love of learning,” said on-site owner Harpreet Bath. “We believe in community welfare, and know that The Goddard School in Rocky Hill will provide families with a quality early childhood education that will ultimately allow children to lead happy and healthy lives.”
